I was travelling in one of the provinces of this country where there is no Christian fellowship and decided to hitchhike. It’s such a great way to meet all kinds of people when there are no regular buses in the area. Near a small village on the main road, within one minute of holding up my thumb, a truck pulled over to pick me up. I was the first person in twenty years he has picked up and the only Christian he has ever chatted with. I was so thankful to talk to him about Jesus. He dropped me off on the side of the road near another village and within five minutes a guy picked me up. He had the same story, never picking any hitchhiker up or chatting with a Christian. He brought me to his work office at the window glass factory and I enjoyed his hospitality. He received a New Testament and was open to hearing the Good News. Early the next morning I took a bus to another unreached province where I ‘happened’ to be the only passenger, and the bus driver was grumpy. For the two-hour ride I chatted with the bus driver, and he opened up to me. I found out that he had ordered a New Testament online and wanted to talk with someone but there are no Christians he knows of in his area. He asked for a second Bible to give to a friend. Thank God for divine appointments!
