We were just another one in the line of people who impacted Gabe’s life. He was from the Middle East and came to our home with other missionaries for Christmas dinner. Following the meal, my husband read the story of Jesus from Matthew. What deeply impacted Gabe was that one of our boys interrupted the reading to ask a question. My husband kindly answered then continued to read. In Gabe’s former religion, a child interrupting the reading of scripture would have been beaten. Gabe was open to hear the Gospel, and praise the Lord, gave his life to Christ. He has recently been baptized. Here is his testimony: “It’s not just about religion. It’s about a profound peace that I now carry through the daily grind and all the exhaustion. having Jesus in my life has become my compass. He gives meaning and value to every struggle and every effort I make.” Pray for continual spiritual growth in Gabe and for his family living in difficult circumstances in the Middle East.
